Dear HSPC Supporter,

We are looking forward to seeing you this fall at the 34th Annual Reigning Cats and Dogs: Home for the Holidays! The big event will be held Saturday, November 8, from 7-10 PM with a Champagne Preview for Sponsors at 6 PM. The event will take place at the Little Rock Historic Train Station’s Next Level Events, where supporters will come together in the evening to support HSPC and its Emergency Medical Fund!

Though details are still in the making, as always, the event will kick off with a red-carpet entrance of our four-legged cuties looking for a home, and will include a silent auction with mobile bidding, complimentary appetizers, wine, beer, champagne, and concluding with a live auction. An additional online auction will happen the following week.

If you have been a faithful past sponsor or are someone new, we ask you to consider sponsorship for this event to help HSPC animals. Your donations that evening will be used to replenish our emergency medical fund that helps animals like our babies…

A few years ago, HSPC established an in-house Parvo ward to fight the dreaded disease often referred to as the puppy killer. Recently, we started using a new drug to fight the virus. The Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody has been worth the money as our save rate has increased to about 95% while decreasing the quarantine time at our shelter. In addition, some of our expecting mothers, including our cats, have difficulty giving birth on their own. We depend on our trained clinic staff as well as other staff members to assist in the delivery through Cesarean section. This has saved many mothers and their infants. 

At HSPC this special medical fund supports:

  Critical animals in our shelter that require care after hours at other facilities

• Animals that need specialty surgery for orthopedic and complex internal issues
• Diagnostic testing and professional consultations beyond the scope of shelter resources
• Treatment for life-threatening disease such as Heartworm Disease
